Taught by: Kat Murray, June 8 & 9th
Join Kat for an immersive two-day papermaking workshop where you'll learn the art of creating handmade paper. In this hands-on experience, participants will explore the fundamentals of papermaking using provided pulp. We will start with basic sheet formation techniques, guiding you through the process of crafting unique paper sheets from pulp. As part of the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with adding inclusions to your paper, such as flower petals, ripped-up magazine bits, or decorative fibers, to enhance texture and visual interest. Additionally, we'll explore creative techniques for incorporating imagery onto the paper using stencils and pigmented pulp.
No prior experience is necessary. Please come prepared by wearing clothes and shoes that are suitable for getting wet.
Sat, June 8 & 9th, 10am-4pm. $150.
If this is your first workshop, please submit the workshop participant form.
