An exhibition of the collaborative project of three artists exploring the Cahaba River’s ecological and geological features and how they have shaped the economic and social history of the watershed. The prints feature images derived from drawing, photography, 3D scanning of natural objects, and 3D modeling from original maps and diagrams. Each artist has pursued individual interests with the Cahaba and then work together in combining images through printing.
Scott Stephens and Lee Somers are art faculty at the University of Montevallo and Elisabeth Pellathy teaches at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
In addition to the pieces exhibited by the featured artists, there will be pieces created by other artists from PaperWorkers Local and Cahaba River Society available for sale. Don't miss this great chance to do your holiday shopping!
